Climb up the steep but rewarding Mount Marathon Jeep Trail to emerge into a bowl immersed in lush greenery and steep peaks. While at times challenging, you will earn an outstanding view of Seward and Resurrection Bay. Along the hike, learn the history of the famous Mount Marathon Race (one of the oldest races in the U.S.!), the history of the town of Seward and information on the animals and plants you may spot along the way.
You will be provided with:
- Hiking poles
- Snacks
- Water
- Is a lifelong Seward local with 20+ years of experience in Alaskan wilderness.
- Will carry bear spray and a first aid kit.
- Has Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certifications.
