With an unmarked trailhead and few other hikers on the trail, Bear Mountain is perfect for those looking to get off the beaten path and experience a true local’s hike. We are the only tour company offering this hike! Hike through the alpine to be surrounded by mountains and get unreal views of Resurrection Bay that few other visitors get the chance to see. Bear Mountain will be an unforgettable hike for those seeking a unique Alaska experience. Be prepared for a very intense start with a consistent uphill climb. Please note this is strenuous and at times challenging hike. As the summit is dangerous to reach, the hike will reach highest safe viewpoint.
You will be provided with:
- Hiking poles
- Snacks
- Water
- Is a lifelong Seward local with 20+ years of experience in Alaskan wilderness.
- Will carry bear spray and a first aid kit.
- Has Wilderness First Aid and CPR Certifications.
